I’m admittedly still “stuck on stupid”…
That was “The Chain” by Fleetwood Mac. And I’m unconcerned with whether these songs are all repeats posted on here before.
“Bleed To Love Her” by Fleetwood Mac:
Bill Withers with “Use Me”:
Don’t we all have our limits?
We both messed that whole deal up in our own ways.
Bill Withers with “Ain’t No Sunshine”:
Listened to that song throughout my life, but it took on special significance while with him. But, truth be told, there hasn’t been much sunshine in a long time. We both were unhappy. Just couldn’t let go for some reason. There was the upside, but there was most definitely the downside. We both suffered as a result. Should’ve each walked away long ago…
Impossible not to miss him though. No matter how irrational that may sound. He had his good points. As did I, which he’d surely acknowledge as well. We’re not evil, awful people — we just weren’t right for one another.
Been listening to a lot of Tom Petty recently. Here’s “I Won’t Back Down”:
Loved that song since as far back as I can remember.
… Don’t let this go too far
Don’t let it get to you …
“Mary Jane’s Last Dance” (Live in 1999):
I’m tired of screwin’ up, tired of going down
Tired of myself, tired of this town
I feel summer creepin’ in
And I’m tired of this town again…
