Bring on the tunes for May

One I’ve been listening to regularly over my headphones since it became popular:

That was Florence + The Machine with “Dog Days Are Over.”

The White Stripes’ “Icky Thump”:

R.L. Burnside’s “The Criminal Inside Of Me”:

That one amuses me. lol

“A Real Indication” by Angelo Badalamenti & Thought Gang:

Liked that song since I first heard it in David Lynch’s film “Fire Walk With Me” back around the year 2000 and then buying the soundtrack.

One I’ve been listening to in the car fairly regularly:

That was The Yeah Yeah Yeahs with “Runaway” (set to footage from a film I do appreciate, “American Beauty”).

Billy Idol’s “White Wedding (Parts 1 & 2 – Shotgun Mix)”:

That song has had significance for me since my teens. For various reasons since. Very good version.

Massive Attack’s “Unfinished Sympathy”:

Enjoyed that one since the early ’90s.

Barry Adamson’s “Mr. Eddy’s Theme 1” from the soundtrack for the film “Lost Highway”:

Loved that instrumental piece since the ’90s.

Another I listen to rather regularly, particularly lately, is the Talking Heads’ “Stay Hungry”:

Though my version’s a bit different than that one and deserves to be uploaded sometime soon.

That was The Raconteurs’ “Consoler Of The Lonely.”

One I’ve listened to from time to time and appreciated since first hearing it in the mid-’90s, Portishead’s “Roads”:

“Mea Culpa” by Enigma:

I return to that one occasionally, as needed.

A performance I haven’t watched in a minute:

That was “Royals” by “Sad Clown With The Golden Voice” (Puddles Pity Party) with Postmodern Jukebox (fantastic Lorde cover).
